Windows Vista - Microsoft Office - Adobe AcrobatHi Guys,I've got a user who is getting the following error when trying to start Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat:The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for detail.When I try to check the event viewer, I get an error that 'MMC could not create the snap-in Event Viewer'. When I try to manually add the event viewer snap-in, I get the same error.I've read online that the first issue could be caused by a missing or corrupt C Redistributable. So I've re-installed it but to no avail.Have you guys come across this issue before? Any suggestions on how to proceed here?

I know this is a few years later, but I solved this problem.You either need the Microsoft Visual C 2008 Redistributable and/or the Microsoft Visual C 2012 Redistributable.Microsoft Visual C 2008 Redistributable (x86)Microsoft Visual C 2012 Redistributable (x86) - 11.0.61030It would seem the HOI3 installer package doesn't include the side-by-side configuration for the 2015 or 2017 C Redistributable (x86). So, if you are using Windows 10 you would need the older Redistributables. I guess Paradox doesn't care about older games.I'm not sure which one is need for HOI3, but I installed both the 2008 and 2012 and the game worked.You can check what Redistributables you already have by going to the 'Control Panel', then 'Programs and Features'Good luck!
